Eighteen new Italian wines have been added to Bestway Group's Cellar Estates own label wine range.
The group has been expanding the range in phases since its launch in March, and plans for it to total 85 wines from around the world at entry, mid and upper level by the end of the year
Master of Wine Andrea Hargrave, the Bestway wine adviser, said: "Italy heralds the first upper level wine, an excellent Chianti Classico.
She added, "We have tried something new for this launch, by providing an opportunity to take up a mixed basket deal. This has been created to encourage independents to provide a choice for their customers. Each basket includes Bardolino, Frascati, Orvieto, Merlot, Valpolicella, and Chardonnay which enables shoppers to buy any two bottles from the listed range for £7 and the retailer still makes 18.9%."
