Casio has launched the DT-930 entry-level scanning terminal to help record information more efficiently.
The DT-930 weighs 225g and has a bright, high contrast, monochrome LCD display and large, backlit plastic keys to make it easy to use in a dark warehouse or stock room. It has a battery life of up to 200 hours of continuous operation from 2xAA alkaline batteries.
The terminal has two choices of high-speed laser scanner, a straight type for retail stocktaking and an angled type suited for scanning packages or pages of barcodes. The unit also has three scan confirmation methods, vibration, large three colour LED, or beep to ensure accurate scanning even in noisy or dark environments.
