== Spar sponsorship ==

Spar was the main sponsor of the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. Gordon Campbell, managing director of International Spar, said: "The European Athletics Championships is the 'jewel in the crown' of a four-year sponsorship period. It is an excellent opportunity to show the strength of the support given by Spar to athletes and sport throughout Europe."

== Sweets for SHS ==

Smith Kendon has appointed SHS Sales & Marketing to handle the sale and distribution for its range of confectionery. Smith Kendon produces travel sweets including Mixed Fruit, Citrus and Wild Berry. Coralie Tomlinson, chief executive of Smith Kendon, said: "SHS Sales & Marketing is the ideal partner to help our brand grow across the multiple grocery, impulse and convenience sectors."

== Dragon in Wanis ==

Wanis has added Dragon Stout to its portfolio of Afro-Caribbean food and drink products. The company has secured a long-term deal as the sole UK distributor of the Jamaican beer as well as the Jamaican malt-based drink brand DG Malta. Wanis is confident that the beer will enjoy widespread success.

== Booker's new wine ==

Booker's range of beers, wines and spirits, Malt House Vintners, has extended its Californian River Wild brand to include a pinot grigio variety. Warren Thomson, Booker sales director, said: "River Wild Pinot Grigio is a fantastic product for customers to increase their profits."

== Coca-Cola signs up ==

HIM has announced that Coca-Cola Enterprises is the latest company to sign up to its recently launched Caterer Tracking Programme.
