RHM Foodservice has developed the Sharwood's Lighter range of ready-to-use Indian sauces.
The three sauces, Korma Lighter, Tikka Masala Lighter and Balti Lighter have 50% less salt, 25% less fat and 25% less sugar than Sharwood's traditional range.
The Sharwood Lighter sauces have been developed specifically for the foodservice market. The reduced salt, fat and sugar make it easier for caterers to balance their content across their menus. This is particularly useful in the education sector as the sauces also meet the Hungry for Success guidelines on all counts. The sauces contain no artificial flavourings or preservatives, are suitable for vegetarians and come in 2x2.3kg jars with a 12-month shelf life.
