Landmark Wholesale has announced that the future of its retail development programme Hot House has been boosted with a four-year commitment from over 30 major suppliers to support the scheme.

Landmark says this will enable it to achieve a total of 2,500 Hot House store conversions by April 2010.

In order to drive forward this development Landmark has recruited a five-strong team who will all report to retail controller Raj Krishan.

Three permanent retail development managers, Ben Pheasant, Michelle Nelson and Karen Bradley, have been employed to work in specific regional areas with Landmark Wholesale members to plan and put into action store development.

Pheasant was previously an account executive for Food Brokers, Nelson has moved to Landmark from In Bev where he was previously a business development manager, and Bradley was previously a sales development representative for Walkers at PepsiCo.

Darren Pugh has been appointed retail operations manager and Vicky Wall will be responsible for collating all the data as retail analyst.

Pugh and Wall previously worked for Landmark Wholesale member AF Blakemore.

Pugh was operations manager for its cash and carry division and Wall was retail development advisor.
