HIM, the retail insight consultancy, has added a new caterer study to its growing list of syndicated customer benchmarking programmes.
This first nationwide study will be conducted this summer in a similar way to its study of cash and carry's retailer customers. It is intended to help cash and carry operators and suppliers identify sales and profit improvement opportunities by listening to caterer customers in cash and carries.
Booker, Landmark Wholesale and Batleys are already confirmed as operators taking part in the programme. Questions such as spend, frequency, what caterers want and reasons for using a particular cash and carry will give these organisations an insight into their customers' needs.
Tom Fender, director of HIM, said: "This new caterer study has been designed to help the industry really put customers at the heart of their strategy and focus on issues important to caterers."
