Coors Brewers hosted a Coors Fine Light Beer poker night for members of the Landmark Group who qualified via a recent incentive - with a trip to Las Vegas as one grand prize.
The Coors Epic Stakes promotion was launched to Landmark members in autumn 2005, giving depot staff the chance to earn poker chips based on sales out, depot display and retail feature for Coors Fine Light Beer.
Qualifying members attended the poker night at the Coors Visitor Centre and Museum of Brewing in Burton-on-Trent.
At the end of the evening the customer with the highest value of poker chips, Pete Mullan from Parfetts, won the grand prize, a trip to Las Vegas.
He said: "The poker night was fantastic; I can't believe I won the trip to Vegas. The Coors team really looked after us; we all had a great night. The promotion went really well in our depot, generating great sales of Coors Fine Light Beer."
Ivor Pheasant, national account director for Coors, commented: "The Epic Stakes promotion has been a great success for Coors, driving incremental sales for our customers and building the brand awareness and popularity.
"The Coors poker night was a fantastic ending to our promotion with Landmark members. We work very closely with all customers to provide exciting promotional activity which we know will help build their business in the long term and grow the beer category.
"Sponsoring the Deadwood TV series has been the perfect way to bring Coors' American heritage to life and we believe the Epic Stakes poker offer really captured the imagination of consumers across the UK."
