ChildLine and Spar have linked up in a sponsorship deal that will mean ChildLine can train and recruit six more volunteer counsellors to provide additional support to children phoning the helpline.
The Spar sponsorship will include counsellor training, support and supervision. In addition to this, Spar will cover the cost of every call that the counsellor takes from children on the helpline.
Spar marketing director Susan Darbyshire said: "Spar is delighted to announce our partnership with ChildLine, which is not only a worthwhile cause, but an essential resource in today's society."
