Searle: new insight into trading

Landmark has announced a restructuring of its Milton Keynes central office trading department, headed by trading director John Searle.

The move ends a period during which an interim structure was in place and means that each of the seven trading controllers’ responsibilities will change to a greater or lesser extent.

Writing to suppliers, Searle said: “In order to meet the challenges ahead we have undertaken a review of category responsibilities and restructured the trading team. We feel sure that these changes will introduce a new insight into your trading agenda with Landmark, and our trading team looks forward to working closely with you to deliver an exciting and successful business programme.”

The seven strong team are: Jon Burton, who will handle soft drinks and confectionery; Mike Nemeth will manage beverages, breakfast cereals, sugar, biscuits, cakes and pet foods; Sheryl Peachey will handle household, toiletries, healthcare and non foods and Debra Cockram will manage chilled and fresh foods.

Steve Mayes will continue to manage wines and spirits and takes on cider, Jim Brown takes on beer, lager, PPS, tobacco and crisps & snacks and Andrew Hargreaves takes over branded and own brand grocery.

Hand over of responsibilities is due to be completed by Tuesday May 3.
