Independent retailers will receive free upgraded tool kits to help them maximise National Independents' Day (NID) on June lst.
Retailers who sign up as a Community Star will receive a new NID tool kit pack consisting of new 2006 T-shirts, caps, balloons and window stickers.
Retailers should email the NID office at hq@fwd-uk.com with their address and fascia details saying they will support NID at retail level.
New this year is the Special MSYS DIY Manual containing more than 50 ideas on how to maximise involvement in the local community.
Alan Toft, chairman of MSYS, which is driven by the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, said: "Simply by signing up to become a Community Star retailers will be signalling their support for NID at retail level.
"They will be adding their names to the list of stars who featured in NID in 2005 - the more the merrier."
