Bestway has announced it is carrying out a review of some of the functions carried out at the Batleys office in Leeds, with a view to cutting out duplication of roles within the group.
In a statement it said there was duplication in a number of roles in Leeds and at the Park Royal headquarters of the Bestway Group, and proposals were being put forward to consolidate a number of functions and relocate members of staff to the existing Batleys office in Huddersfield and undertake other tasks at Park Royal.
Most of the finance department responsibilities will relocate to Park Royal, and it is anticipated other Batleys departments, including buying, marketing, IT, audit and file maintenance sections will move to the existing Batleys offices in Huddersfield.
Precise details of departments and jobs involved will be considered in consultation with employees. Bestway Cash & Carry Group managing director Younus Sheikh said: "It is our intention to minimise job losses by redeploying people to other parts of the business."
