DBC Foodservice has announced the appointment of Peter Judge as managing director. He took over after the retirement of Derek Kidd at the end of last year.
Judge was previously sales and marketing director at Ginsters for seven years during a period when the Ginsters brand grew from £90m to £235m.
He commented: "My background is in retail and manufacturing, across both ambient and chilled disciplines, and I'm looking forward to transferring this experience and knowledge into the foodservice arena. DBC Foodservice is a major player in the industry, and I'm determined to develop DBC further as both a business and a brand."
DBC Foodservice delivers more than 8,000 ambient, chilled, frozen and non-food products to over 16,000 customers nationally, from its network of 11 branches.
