Musgrave Budgens Londis has recruited two senior staff including former Spar UK managing director Garry Craft.
Craft has been appointed sales director Londis, and has joined MBL from Compass Group where he was managing director of its Amigo and Whistlestop c-store chains.
Craft will be heading the team responsible for enabling Londis retailers to continue to enhance store standards. He said: “I look forward to working closely with my team and the Londis retailers to grow the Londis brand.”
Peter O’Toole has joined as store development director responsible for development of both Budgens and Londis.
O’Toole was previously at Alliance Pharmacy, where he headed the company’s major refit programme. Prior to that he had nearly two decades with Kwik Save and Somerfield, including roles as head of convenience formats at Somerfield, with responsibility for strategy and for developing formats, and then he was given the task of regenerating the Kwik Save business with a new format.
He said: “I’m delighted to join MBL and am looking forward to using my experience of the convenience sector to help build store blueprints that independent retailers will want to implement.”
