Brakes has been awarded the £6.5m annual frozen, chilled and grocery foods supply contract for Southern Cross Healthcare – the largest independent provider of care homes in the UK.
The contract is for a minimum of two years and Brakes will deliver food throughout the Southern Cross network of 350 care homes. Brakes was already a major supplier to Southern Cross Healthcare and this new contract means Brakes becomes its sole food supplier.
Paul Burton of Brakes said: “Winning this sole supply contract is a fantastic achievement. It is a great endorsement of Brakes’ ability to meet the expectations of our customers, when not only do we retain the existing business, but additional business as well.”
