The Federation of Wholesale Distributors’ Blueprint educational off licence scheme for independent retailers is attracting more involvement from wholesalers.
Under a new programme, wholesalers are identifying a number of their retailers for a Blueprint makeover. This new “cluster” policy has already encouraged Athif Sarwar, managing director of United Wholesale, in Glasgow, to sign up.
Athif has arranged for his retailer development team to roll out a Blueprint programme in dedicated stores.
The Blueprint, covering beers, wines, spirits and
RTDs, guarantees an increase in sales for retailers who implement it.
Costco, Turner & Wrights and Dhamecha have also agreed to adopt the Blueprint for their retailers. More wholesalers are in the pipeline.
Will Government proposals to ban the display of tobacco in retail premises damage the wholesale sector?
