The Federation of Wholesale Distributors is giving added emphasis to its support for responsible retailing of alcohol through its successful Take Home Blueprint initiatives.

New literature to be produced by the Blueprint reminds independent retailers of their responsibility when it comes to serving young people with alcoholic drinks.

Blueprint chairman Alan Toft told ProWholesaler: “FWD is a committed supporter of the intensified focus on the responsible retailing of alcohol.

“The Blueprints are helping to spread the message by urging all retailers to renew their under-age alert, according to the principles set down by the Portman Group proof of age scheme,” he said.
