Mobile computing specialist Eastern Data, which has supplied hand-held computers to a number of food distribution companies, has taken over the Irish computer company DSR Systems.
DSR was a major competitor to Eastern Data as one of the leading suppliers to the Irish market of mobile solutions, such as route accounting/van sales and field sales data capture.
David Winter, Eastern Data’s managing director, said: “Our group target is to double in size over the next two to three years to become a much larger player in the mobile market. To achieve this we are aiming for rapid organic growth backed up by complementary acquisitions.”
