Customer feedback has been used by shopper insight consultancy him! to determine awards for cash and carries in a number of different trading disciplines.
Using data from the latest survey in the Cash & Carry Tracking Programme, in which more than 4,000 retailers were interviewed at a range of cash and carry depots, him! chief operating officer Tom Fender announced that Parfetts had won the category for customer service, based on feedback about how friendly and helpful staff were and speed through the checkouts.
Batleys took first place for availability, based on customers’ rating their cash and carries for availability and on how few customers had been unable to buy something they had planned to purchase.
Top of the ratings for promotions was Dhamecha, based on the percentage of customers who bought something in the depot on promotion and on customers’ rating of promotions.
Booker came out top for loyalty, based on the percentage of needs bought at a single cash and carry.
The weekly spend category, based on how much was spent each week with a particular company, was won by Bestway.
In a separate category voted for by suppliers, Batleys took first place as best operator.
