The shopper insight consultancy him! has appointed Stanley Morrice as non-executive director to help with both internal and external strategy and company development.
Morrice, who has over 30 years experience in the retail sector, started his career as a shelf filler at the age of 12 in his local Finefare.
He went on to work with Curry’s Electrical, Spar, Mace retailer and distributor, Aberness (where he was managing director) and most recently Somerfield, who took over the Aberness business. During his time at Aberness, Morrice led the company from being a wholesaler with a small number of stores, to a retailer with a distribution division.
Tom Fender, chief operating officer of him! said: “We are delighted to welcome Stanley on board. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise regarding the neighbourhood store sector and what makes a good convenience store.”
