Walters: five years spent in fresh food

Nisa-Today’s has appointed Oliver Walters its first ever fresh food development manager. Walters, 28, from Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, has a five-year background working in fresh and chilled food for Makro and most recently, Nature’s Way.

He will be responsible for meeting the fresh produce and chilled product needs of Nisa-Today’s members nationally, introducing, tailoring and developing ranges. He will also offer first-hand advice to the group’s members.

Commenting on his new role, Walters said: “I’m delighted to join the growing sales team at Nisa-Today’s and am looking forward to setting the standard as the very first fresh food development manager. My role will be to help members to take advantage of the lucrative selling opportunity fresh and chilled products present as well as developing sales through central distribution.”

Andrew Mouse, group sales director at Nisa-Today’s, said: “We have created this position to extend the services we are able to offer in maximising the growth opportunities, through our industry leading chilled product ranges. This, combined with our six-day-week Premier Service, will ensure our members are kept at the forefront of chilled development.”
