Seventeen manufacturers with foodservice credentials – from large corporates to smaller concerns – have been nominated by wholesalers for the 2005 Catersummit Cup.

This trophy will be presented at Catersummit, at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, on October 3-4, following a vote by wholesalers.

Nominations include Costa & Co, Cadbury Trebor Bassett, HJ Heinz, Ilchester Cheese, Johnson Diversey, Masterfoods, McCains, McPhie of Glenbervie, Nestlé UK, Unilever, Britvic, Walkers, Reckitt Benckiser, RHM, McBride, Silver Spoon and Westlers.

The Catersummit Cup was launched to focus on the need for innovation in foodservice.

Last year the trophy was won by Kraft Foods AFH and their team is pictured celebrating the award.

FWD director general John Murphy said: “This is a unique award for new products, services or other new ideas which wholesalers have noted as a contribution to their progress in this market.”
