Today’s member Glasgow-based Compass Cash & Carry has recently become an entirely family-run business following a restructuring of its buying team.

Brothers Deepa and Aman Kooner, aged 26 and 21 respectively, have taken over responsibility for the company’s buying operation after former buying director Anshu Chandra joined United Wholesale.

Compass Cash & Carry has been run by two generations of the Kooner family for 25 years, and they believe their family trust and connections are the key to ensuring their business continues to flourish.

Aman Kooner commented: “Our customers know that they are our priority. Because this is a family business we are committed to providing them with outstanding service. We have proven our commitment to our customers for over two decades and look forward to providing for them across many future generations.”

Father of the brothers and chairman of the business Shangara Kooner added: “Deepa and Aman share a common vision for the success of the business. By having them both in the buying role, we have much more focus – which is the key to extending our loyal customer base.”
