Plans are steaming ahead for National Independents’ Day on June 1 as part of the My Shop Is Your Shop campaign.
Initiated by the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, there are signs in every corner of industry that special activity will be planned to help independent retailers mark NID.
The day is a celebration of the value of the independent retailer to their local community and regional and local TV, print and radio coverage is on the drawing board.
Delegates at the FWD annual conference will receive an update on the campaign from Alan Twigg, managing director of Nexus, the London consumer PR consultancy.
