Suppliers participating in the Take Home Blueprints will undertake more organised visits to independent retailers who are achieving extra sales and profits from the scheme.

This is one of the developments arising out of consultation with supportive beers, wines and spirits supplier participants in the Blueprints.

The visits give suppliers an objective warts-and-all retailer view of the marketplace from which they can take away valuable learnings.

Graham Shelley, managing director of IMA, the Manchester marketing agency which manages the Blueprints for the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, told ProWholesaler: “We can all learn on-going lessons in an objective in-store atmosphere from successful retailers.”

These visits, he said, are unlike formal market research store audits where the retailer is just ticking boxes.

Suppliers interested in taking part should contact him on 0161 440 2770.
