Firth: PMPs create consumer pull through |
Unilever UK Home & Personal Care says it is demonstrating its commitment to the wholesale channel with the launch of an exclusive price-marked pack for the independent sector.
Richard Firth, wholesale director at Unilever HPC, told ProWholesaler: “The wholesale channel is hugely important to us.
“We want to develop business in this sector and that is why we have tailored this promotion to the needs of wholesalers.”
The £1.49 price mark will be on more than one million units of 150ml Sure deodorants available from mid August for a limited period.
Firth said: “This exclusive price-marked pack has a very strong price point and is expected to create high consumer pull through as research into PMPs shows that consumers are switched on by the value for money aspect of these packs.” He said the packs offered a shared margin between wholesalers and retailers of 20%.
Will Government proposals to ban the display of tobacco in retail premises damage the wholesale sector?
