GUM BILL FIGHT
The Second Reading of a Private Bill to ban the sale of chewing gum in London took place in the House of Lords on July 5.
The National Federation of Retail Newsagents is campaigning against the Bill. Colin Finch, chairman of the NFRN Legal & Parliamentary Committee, said: “We are working closely with Wrigley's and contacting MPs as the ultimate destination of this Bill will be the House of Commons.”
