Barnes: offers caterers service across Europe

Bidvest Group, the parent of 3663, has clinched a deal to buy Deli XL, a leading foodservice distributor in Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, from Dutch group Ahold for €140m.

Fred Barnes, chief executive of 3663 and Bidvest Europe’s chief executive officer, commented: “The acquisition of this highly regarded business signifies Bidvest’s further international growth within the global foodservice market. 3663 and Deli XL will work alongside each other to provide a complementary offering to caterers throughout the UK and mainland Europe.”
