Drinks manufacturer and distributor Halewood International has teamed up with TV celebrity chef Ed Baines to launch a campaign to find the UK's best Chinese restaurant as part of its support programme for Chinese beer brand Tsingtao.
POS kits have been rolled out into wholesalers and distributors and will be given to restaurants which order more than 10 crates of Tsingtao. The kits enable customers of the restaurants to be able to vote for the it via SMS text, email or post.
Ed Baines said: "The UK has a fantastic heritage and diversity when it comes to Chinese restaurants but it is not always the most high profile of cuisines. In the year of the Beijing Olympics we are looking to put Chinese cuisine on the map in the UK and show restaurant goers across the country, the quality and diversity of Chinese food available."
