Mars Consumer Drinks is looking to the female market as it is extending its Galaxy drinks range with the launch of a one litre Galaxy drink.

Designed with female consumers in mind the fresh variant is low in fat and rich in protein and calcium which can help build stronger bones, healthier skin and shiny hair. It is made from 87% fresh British milk, does not contain any artificial colouring or sweetners and is 2% fat. According to Mars, three quarters of young women are not consuming enough calcium and it hopes to encourage women to increase the level of calcium in their diet.

Bep Sandu, trade relations manager for Mars, said: "The Galaxy drinks range is experiencing considerable growth. The new Galaxy fresh variant will add to this success."
