Nestlé Professional presented its Toque d'Or award to Carlisle College.
The grade finals were held at the BBC Good Food Show in June, where the students had to work on both front and back of house. The six students served chilled tomato consommé with seared Solway salmon to start, followed by a marinated fell-bred mutton hotpot with roast spring lamb cutlet and apricot herb glaze main dish and iced vanilla and danson cranachan dessert to finish.
Martin Lines, marketing director of Nestlé Professional, said: "Carlisle College has shown dedication and commitment throughout. They are a shining example of the talent that we as an industry need to nurture and grow."
