Fredericks Dairies will be launching Lyle's Golden Syrup ice cream in September.
Celebrating the fact that Lyle's Golden Syrup is 125 years old the ice cream contains real sponge pieces as well as the syrup.
The one litre tub is the same green and gold as the syrup tin. It is designed to ensure maximum standout in the freezer and grab the attention of Golden Syrup's existing fan base to drive incremental profit opportunities in the ice cream category.
David Taylor, sales and marketing director at Fredericks Dairies, said: "When consumers fancy a treat, they hold nothing back with their ice cream choices and the more indulgent the better."
