Heinz is aiming to breathe life into the oriental cooking sauces category.

Creamy Coconut & Thai Basil, Sweet Soy & Oriental Vegetables, Szechuan Tomato & Sweet Peppers, Hoi Sin & Shitake Mushrooms, Thai Creamy Coconut, Tomato & Red Pepper and Yellow Bean, Soy & Cashew Nuts are new cooking sauces.

According to Heinz, cooking sauces hold the largest value share of the total Chinese Market at 23%, worth over £41m.

Rachael Munby, marketing controller of Amoy, said: "Our research has shown that the oriental cooking sauces category has started to decline as consumers grow tired of products that do not deliver on quality and taste. Amoy is constantly assessing and responding to changing trends so that our portfolio of market leading brands continues to excite and delight consumers."

The sauces tie in with Amoy marking its centenary.
