Procter and Gamble is launching three products in its Duracell rechargeable range.

The Active Charge Cells come pre-charged for use straight away and can then be recharged for use again.

The Pocket Charged can charge iPods and blackberry devices and mobile phones with a mini USB port.

The Instant Charger is a high capacity lithium battery that can recharge a device and can be recharged through a standard laptop or USB outlet.

Paul Lettice, trade communications manger at P&G, said: "The rechargeable market is currently worth £51.4m in retail value, which is twice the size of the zinc carbon battery market, and it therefore a key area for growth in the category overall. We expect the re-launched range to help build awarness of the Duracell brand, offering consumers more reasons to choose Duracell while driving sales and boosting profits."

The Pocket Charger, Instant Charger and Active Charge Cells will be available in August.
