Heinz Foodservice introduces a light mayonnaise for caterers

Heinz Foodservice has launched a 12g light mayo sachet and five litre back of house pail with half the fat of the standard variety.

There are 200 sachets per case and Heinz says both products have less salt and fat than the leading branded competitor's light version.

Jennifer Harker, brand manager for Heinz Foodservice, said: "Awareness of the relationship between diet and health is at an all-time high, largely due to the government's promotion of healthier lifestyles to relieve pressure on health services. Caterers, in response, are looking for solutions which go hand in hand with this growing obsession with 'wellbeing'.
