Key Lekkerland has announced it will close its head office and transfer management of its national accounts to members.
The accounts will go to Booker, Filshill and Palmer and Harvey, which are, the group said, "best able to provide a distribution service tailored to customers needs".
Booker will take on leisure accounts including Odeon and Apollo cinema chains as well as Blockbuster DVD rental.
Filshill will manage Scotland-based accounts and P&H will serve accounts including NUS-owned university stores and Roadchef.
According to Key Lekkerland, this will offer the benefit of dedicated account management, enhanced warehouse and distribution systems, access to an extended range and multi-temperature capabilities.
The restructure is due to be completed by the end of August, after which the Key Lekkerland central office in Rugby will close and there will be redundancies.
John Liptrot, managing director of Key Lekkerland, said: "There will be no loss of service for KeyStore retailers, but there will be redundancies at head office. I am hopeful that a third of jobs at head office will be taken on elsewhere within the group."
