James Hall & Company, the Spar distributor for the north of England, has announced an enhancement of its trading terms with the launch of a new "Spar Rewards" scheme, which will give retailers enhanced bonus payments in return for increased category discipline and buying loyalty.
The Spar Rewards scheme will enhance the current Multiple Retail Group scheme and will see participating retailers achieving retrospective bonus payments of up to £7,000 a year.
James Hall trading director Andrew Barnes announced the new scheme at a series of roadshows across the north of England. He said that the scheme would have three tiers according to store format and size, with the highest bonuses being offered to those who commit to 700-800 core lines. James Hall & Company has earmarked £1.25m for bonus payments in year one.
Barnes also announced enhanced trading terms for cigarettes which will see an extra £400,000 benefit paid back to Spar members.
Retail director Peter Dodding confirmed details of the company's new recruitment package which offers over £22,000 worth of benefits to new and existing members who open new Spar sites.
