Confex says renewed drive within the business helped to increase turnover by 10% in 2007 compared with the previous year.

The development of the new distribution centre has seen an upturn in marketing activity, resulting in an increase of 50% in distribution of the Confex Super Saver brochure.

Other initiatives include joint business planning between Confex and its suppliers and working together to develop individual wholesalers needs.

Chris Wootton, joint business manager of Confex, said: "Suppliers have seen excellent support from members for these new initiatives and we look forward to developing exciting new category plans from this strong foundation."
