Today's Group has stepped up its presence in the foodservice sector with the recruitment of the Caterforce group into membership

Caterforce has a turnover of about £180m and comprises seven foodservice wholesalers, specialising in chilled and frozen foods. The move means that along with Fairway Foods Today's now has most of the frozen foodservice specialists in the UK as members.

Two Caterforce members, Pioneer Foodservice and Pilgrim Foodservice, were already Today's members, but the new move sees Philip Dennis Foodservice, Hunts Foodservice, Lynas Foodservice, JB Foods and KFF Foodservice also join.

Rodney Hunt, managing director of the Today's Group, said: "This is a very exciting move. We've had a very good relationship with Caterforce having previously worked with Pioneer and Pilgrim, but to have the whole group come onboard means we can now work even more closely together."

"It is my wish that a positive and rewarding relationship between the two groups will now flourish," commented Allen Watts, executive director of Caterforce. "The substantial growth of both ambient and chilled ranges across the Caterforce group now means that it is the right time for all the members to join the Today's Group."
