Creed Catering Suppliers, an independent foodservice wholesaler, has invested in new warehouse technology from Business Computer Projects (BCP).

The warehouse management system (WMS) was needed after a growth in business, coupled with Creed wanting to offer exceptional service levels to its customers.

The Accord WMS was originally implemented in the main ambient warehouse at Staverton. It replaced a manual system and introduced Radio Frequency technology for goods receiving and fork lift truck operations. The system integrated directly to Creed's main Accord system and interfaced to purchasing, stock control and telesales, offering the benefits of real time, mobile operations, high productivity and accuracy.

Karl Goodwin, commercial director of Creed, said: "Improving business efficiency is one of our key strategic plans. This system will improve our overall efficiency and ensure we continue to offer a service that exceeds our customers' expectations."
