A new wine distribution company for the foodservice sector, ViVAS, has been set up by 3663 and independent wine company Bibendum Wine.
Under the terms of the ViVAS collaboration 3663 will look after order facilitation and logistics, while Bibendum will be responsible for sourcing wine ranges and category management.
Alex Fisher, managing director of 3663 Wholesale, said: "The combination of strengths and expertise within both businesses will provide a formidable and innovative offer to the UK's on trade market.
"Bibendum's understanding of the wine market will strengthen our offering and help us to supply customers with a comprehensive range of food and wine as well as ambient products and catering equipment in one order."
The ViVAS portfolio will consist of more than 150 wines sourced from a number of countries including France, South Africa, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia, and California in the US.
According to Michael Saunders, managing director of Bibendum, the range will offer flexible, customer-oriented solutions. "ViVAS has been created to offer the foodservice industry a total wine solution whether the customer is part of a large group or an independent operator. We are particularly excited about helping customers build a sustainable portfolio of good quality wines."
