What developments will now be important for Booker in pursuing excellence is the question posed by Bryan Drew, group commercial director.
He will also reflect on the Booker recovery to date, with improvements to choice, price and service.
Drew joined Booker for the second time as part of the new management team in 2005. He is responsible for all buying, brand and product related activities in Booker. He has 20 years experience in wholesaling and from 1989 to 2003 he held a number of commercial, finance and business development roles in Booker and The Big Food Group.
After BFG he was commercial director of Hub Wholesale, which he co-founded with Tony Overton - former Booker regional director - and Charles Wilson, who later went on to be Booker chief executive. Booker acquired Hub Wholesale in October 2005.
Will Government proposals to ban the display of tobacco in retail premises damage the wholesale sector?
