Landmark Wholesale member Lowries has celebrated 25 years in the industry with the launch of a special promotion held at Newcastle Racecourse.
Peter Lowrie, owner of Lowries, announced an enhanced 25th Anniversary promotional schedule running from April 1 to the end of March 2009.
Lowrie and his wife Sue purchased their first depot in Newcastle in 1983 and currently have almost 4,000 customers across the north of England using its delivered and cash and carry operations across its three depots.
He attributes his success to his principle of serving the customer and technological advances, such as the website which allows customers to see prices online and check live stock.
Lowrie said: "Our fortune is down to being in the right place, at the right time with the right people. As well as ensuring that we are one step ahead with the technology available to streamline our business and make us more efficient."
