Twaites: develop branded offer

Julian Twaites has taken over from Andrea Hargrave as wine controller at Booker Cash & Carry.

Twaites has joined Booker from Nisa-Today’s, where he had been category controller for wine for three years. Prior to that he was a buyer for Thresher.

He takes over the post which Hargrave announced she was leaving in March.

During 14 years with Booker Hargrave was responsible for developing its Malt House Vinters own label into a range of more than 300 wines

She had a high profile in the industry and will be a speaker at Drinksummit.

Twaites said he was committed to improving the own label range, and the branded wine offered by the company.
