AF Blakemore & Son has appointed Stephen Cloves as group HR director.
Cloves will be responsible for the development of best practice, legal compliance and management of HR for the group as a main board director. He will be taking over the duties previously carried out by Gill Cowley who will retire in April.
Cloves previously worked for Carl Zeiss Vision where he was business and human performance manager, responsible for HR health and safety and performance management.
He said: "HR should make a positive contribution to business aims and objectives. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead and I'm sure my team and I can make a positive impact to the continued advancement of AF Blakemore."
