The Confectioners Benevolent Fund's (CBF) biggest fund raising event, the London Candy Ball, will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on April 12.

Last year's Candy Ball raised £200,000 for the charity, which helps to support more than 1,400 beneficiaries annually.

Last year's theme was looking back through the decades and this year the theme focuses on 'painting the town red' with entertainment, cabaret, prizes, sweets and chocolates.

The event will be hosted by the President of the CBF, Graham McPherson, deputy chairman of Palmer & Harvey, and the CBF chairman, Mike Denyard, sales director of Cadbury Trebor Bassett.
