The Palmer and Harvey retail distribution depot in Fareham has won a Mini courtesy of Magnum.

The depot won the car in the Magnum Mini Competition which ran from April to November last year. Twenty nine wholesaler depots across the country took part and were given targets to increase sales of the best selling Magnum impulse ice creams Magnum Classic and Magnum White. Each time the depot hit its target for that month they received golden keys to go in the draw to win a brand new Mini Cooper in December.

The Palmer and Harvey depot in Fareham's golden key was randomly drawn by a member of the Institute of Sales Promotion. The depot team worked together to win the car and have decided to take the cash equivalent of the Mini Cooper so they can split the prize evenly.

Tracey Mackinnon, the telesales depot manager, said she was delighted, adding: "I never expected the depot to win."
