Hunt: division turns over £500m

Today’s Group has gained another foodservice member after Oxford-based foodservice specialist Savona Provisions joined the Country Range Group.

Country Range is a member of the Today’s Group, automatically giving Savona membership.

Savona services the traditional free trade within the M25, north to Birmingham, south to Brighton and west to Bristol, and currently has a turnover of £5m.

“Becoming members of the Today’s Group and Country Range Group will provide us with access to an excellent own-label offering as well as a richer catering range,” said Savona director Ken Knowland.

“Above all, our new membership status will give us the benefit of becoming a more focused, delivered catering operation.”

Rod Hunt, managing director of the Today’s Group commented: “We are delighted to welcome Savona Provisions to the group.

“Ken Knowland brings with him a wealth of experience of the foodservice industry and we are pleased to have such an innovative, focused operation working with us.

“Turnover for Today’s Group foodservice division now stands at a staggering £500m.”
