The deal involves supplying all Bourne’s brands

Brakes has won a contract worth £20m to be the sole supplier of frozen, chilled, grocery foods and fresh produce across the Bourne Leisure group.

The five-year contract will see Brakes supply all of Bourne Leisure’s brands in the UK: three Butlins Holiday Parks, 13 Warner Hotels and 35 caravan parks under the Haven and British Holiday names.

The deal also encompasses supply contracts with the Brake Group’s specialist businesses M&J Seafood, Pauleys and retail bake-off specialist Country Choice.

Brakes trade sector director Chris Soanes said: “An operation such as Bourne Leisure demands logistical competency, product consistency and new ideas creation with the capability to bring them from concept to reality – something Brakes are able to do.

“We have already began working closely with Bourne Leisure on menu planning and product development, but this is only the start of things and as we work closer still, I believe we will be able to make a real difference.”

Darren Cavill of Bourne Leisure said: “Being able to demonstrate an understanding of not just our business but also the needs of our customers was an essential part of making this decision.

“The food offered by our outlets is an essential part of the total experience we offer our customers, and we are sure Brakes will be able to help us ensure it is a positive one.”
