Specialist foodservice distributor Freshfayre is investing in a Voice Directed Warehouse Management System (WMS) from Business Computer Projects (BCP) for its central warehouse operation in Leeds.

Freshfayre offers a nationwide service and specialises mainly in chilled foods and provides both van sales and standard telesales with a delivery service to a wide range of catering establishments. Freshfayre's investment in the WMS technology aims to meet the needs of a chilled food and drink business.

It includes BCP's full stand-alone Accord voice activated WMS to handle all key warehouse operations, including stock taking, goods receiving, pallet movements and picking.

Dave Dillion, operations director of Freshfayre, said: "BCP worked closely with us, through a series of workshops, to understand the details of our business process and how its solution would work for us. Accord WMS outshone other offerings in terms of functionality and flexibility and we are convinced it will help us to consolidate our reputation for delivering first class customer service."
