Landmark Wholesale has announced a major restructure of its trading department due, it said, to an increasing volume of business.

Landmark will be appointing four senior trading controllers who will be tasked to manage a key development area of the business in addition to maintaining ongoing category trading responsibilities.

Jon Burton, trading controller of confectionery and impulse, and Jim Brown, trading controller of beer and cider, are existing members of the trading team who will take up two of the new posts. Appointments to the other two positions have yet to be made.

The four categories the senior trading controllers are covering are foodservice, own label, promotions and central distribution.

John Searle, trading director of Landmark Wholesale, said: "This is an exciting opportunity that will develop progressive business plans with suppliers on behalf of Landmark."
